EFNFashionably delayed, EFN finally got to have their seminar regarding our rights regarding products we have purchased, like DVD's, MP3's, and so on. Young, promising EFN'ers came to discuss and learn about new laws, old laws and laws that hopefully, with their help, won't be used. Laws that will rape us for our privacy and right to say what we want. The government wants to log all our outgoing traffic. Phones, computers, everything. Just in *case* we might be terrorists. This means they will read all of our private e-mail, that really is none of their buisness or right to read.EFN actively tries to preserve our right to write what ever we want to our friends and family, without the government snooping around just to be sure we're not terrorists. To read more about EFN and what they're all about, or to sign up as a supportive member to help form a more promising future for people who want to be able to copy their own purchased music on to their harddrive and send "I love you" to their girl- or boyfriend without someone who needs to get a real job reading through it, you can visit http://efn.no/ . KANDU decided they needed to have more to offer the girly part of TG so Tommy and his contacts actually convinced Maria to spread her wonderful knowledge. (13/04 17:24 by knutin)KriposWhen we first heard Kripos was coming to TG, many thought they were out to 'get us', but evidently, they were all wrong. It would seem they came to "Not to investigate, not to catch anyone that does anything wrong, but to give information about what computer crime is, what tools they use, which forms of crime that regularly increase, and how to avoid trouble with the police." During the question round, an eager EFN (Elektronisk Forpost Norge)-member started discussing laws regarding piracy, how innocent people are judged by 'crimes' that don't really harm anyone, and generally came with a whole load of reasonable(or unreasonable, depending on your view) arguments. Friday 14.00 in the Auditorium, EFN will give a talk on their views on many of the same subjects as Kripos did.
